Sotter, George
George Sotter (1879-1953) was an American painter and stained-glass designer, celebrated for his moonlit snowscapes and tranquil Pennsylvania landscapes. Trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Sotter was associated with the New Hope School. His atmospheric depictions of barns, hills, and snowy fields reflect a mastery of light and tone. In addition to his painting, Sotter ran a successful stained-glass studio with his wife Alice. His work remains iconic in Bucks County art history
